The Centre for
IT & eGovernance focuses on using information
technology for distant learning that enables greater reach
and enhanced knowledge sharing and capacity building experience.
The centre also works in open source technologies - it
envisions to emerge as a resource center for all open source
technologies
This is the view of our newly launched e-classroom, It is
equipped with high-end 100" projector Screen and
connected with a 2MBPS leased line. This facility is
networked with all our extension centres, our partners like
National Institute for Rural Development,
Tata Institute of Social
Sciences, National Information Centre, 23 State Institutes
of Rural development and others. Through
videoconferencing this facility will revolutionize the
concept of distance learning in this field by increasing our
reach - helping use reach huge target participant groups, enhancing the training experience and
by creating high
value channels for knowledge exchange and sharing.
APARD aspires to evolve this facility into a knowledge
network by connecting with leading institutions from around
