Certificate Course on Integrated Natural Resources Development
Context:
AMR-Andhra Pradesh Academy of Rural Development (AMR-APARD),
the apex training institute for Panchayat Raj and Rural Development Department of GoAP in collaboration with
Institute of Rural Studies & Administration (IRSA), Guntur,
jointly announce a certificate course on
‘Integrated Natural Resource Development for Rural Development and Panchayat Raj personnel
involved with the planning, implementation and monitoring of natural resource,
representative of communities ,who are engaged in the effort to improve and utilize natural resource ,and graduate
intending to build a career in improvement and utilization of natural resource.
Context:
Natural resource are the gift of nature to mankind. The advancement of
science and
technology and the increasing needs of living beings are causing serious threat to the
sustainability
of natural resource and the quality life of people. The on-going effort of rural development in India
aim to enable people especially the disadvantaged to fulfill their needs within the capacity of
available natural resource. Providing appropriate knowledge and capacity to improve and utilize the
natural resource at the community level influence both the sustainability of natural resource and
the transformation of rural development. The need for communities to participate actively in
planning and implementation of the on-going programme like Integrated Watershed Development.,
National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (NREGS) etc. is immense. There
is an enormous
need for a vast pool of multi-disciplinary professionals to au i t the communities to participate in the
process of improving and utilizing the natural resource and solving their needs.
Course and its objectives The main objective is to a i t the personnel of rural development at various level and the
representative of communities in acquiring scientific and technical understanding and
skill to
improve and utilize the natural resource .

To initiate and develop model for the improvement and utilization of natural resource and

To enable the convergence and implementation of various rural development programme
Course designed for
a. Rural development personnel involved with the planning,
implementation and monitoring of natural resource
b. Representative of communities ,who are engaged in the effort to improve and utilize
natural resource ,and
c. Graduate intending to build a career in improvement and utilization of natural resource .
Eligibility Criteria
Graduate with adequate reading, writing and comprehension skill of English.
Preference will be extended to the personnel of rural development and the community representative involved
with programme related to the natural resource . Thirty candidates
,after a e ment of the applications and personal interview will be
admitted for the course.
Venue and Fees:
The course is residential, and conducted at AMR-APARD,
Hyderabad
Campus, at
Rajendranagar, Hyderabad, and the IRSA, Guntur Campus, at
Chowdavaram, Guntur. Project-work will be organized at various locations in Andhra Prades
h.
Course fee per candidate is R 25,000/- (without boarding) and R
35,000/- (with boarding).
