The C-GARD aims to provide Geomatics Solutions for Rural Development Sector by the application of latest spatial technologies by develop effective maps for projects planning and implementation in all State and National Level programs, and also to train, improve the skill and knowledge levels in Mapping technology and other ICT tools from the field level functionaries till management cadre from the State Government, NGOs, National and International Agencies.

Recent Projects Profile:
(I) Generation of Action Plans/Detailed Project Report for Watershed Development in IWMP DPR Preparation for Nandiwanaparthy Watershed.
By a process of extraction of contours and drainage layers from Topo Sheet and integrating with Satellite Imageries, TIN, DEM, aspect, flow accumulation and sink are generated in ArcGIS Hydrology Model. This forms the basis for suggesting appropriate treatment structures for rain water harvesting and soil conservation measures as a part in watershed development.

(II) Application of GPS & DGPS for monitoring NREGS Works in Madireddypally, Nawawpet Mandal, Vikarabad District.
This Study high involved collection of locational coordinate information using Hand held JUNO SB GPS (differential correction of data done by Trimble DGPS) for all works being in under NREGS in this village and plotted on the map. This GIS map database will enable in monitoring the NREGA works to be easily monitored by officials and uniformly implemented in the entire village irrespective of any influence and also curb duplication of same work being shown repeatedly.

( III ) Preparation of Maps of Kurnool Flood prone areas Maps.
Involved preparation of contour, streams, rivers, transport maps and later by the elevation data submerged areas and risk prone areas in the residential buffer zones adjoined the rivers & water bodies were identified.

( IV ) Decentralised Planning for Vizianagaram District :
Project work included the Preparation of Thematic Maps of Lothugedda Village Mentada Mandal Maps, Vizianagaram District. Soil,Lulc,Watershed, Cadastral, TIN,DEM,slope,Aspect, Administration Maps were prepared.

( V ) Lab to Land Initiative – Keycap Project of Cheeded Village, Manchal Mandal of Ranga Reddy District.
Preparation of Maps Thematic maps include the slope, aspect, flow accumulation, LULC using IRS LISS III P6 images 2003, 2006, and 2011 years, TIN and DEMs of area terrain and village geo database map with collateral details including the Bharat Nirman Volunteers allotted house details. GPS was extensively used.

( VI ) Change Detection Study of Ibrahimpatnam Cheruvu, Ranga Reddy District : This project is currently undergoing, This study involves application of Satellite data IRS LISS III P6 images 2003, 2006, and 2011 years, and SOI Toposheets for preparation of thematic maps as Landuse & Landcover, Slope and Aspect, TIN, DEM, Streams and Water bodies. The object of the study is to ascertain the impact of urbanization and other development projects leading to the gradual drying of this massive water body.
