The Revenue Department is the oldest arm of the Government from times immemorial in the country. Andhra Pradesh is not different from this scenario. All the forums organized at State level have emphasized and recommended that the training to the in-service Revenue Officers is essential on land Acts.
The Land Committee headed by Sri Koneru Rangarao, Hon'ble Minister for Municipal Administration and Urban Development recommended for imparting training to the in-service Revenue Officers at all levels in the State. Accordingly the Government have issued orders in G.O. Ms. No. 1071/Rev (DA) Dept., dated. 9-5-2008 selecting the AMR-APARD as Nodal Agency for imparting training to Revenue Officials in the State and sanctioned an amount of Rs. 995 lakhs spread over the period of 4 years.
Pursuant to it, the Land Cell is organizing training programmes to all the Revenue Officials from Joint Collector down to Tahsildar and subordinate staff in the state to reinforce their pro-poor perspective and understanding on Land Enactments; to strive forward towards building a more transparent, responsive, efficient, accountable governance system and effective service delivery.
