Advise the Government on formulating policies and strategies on strengthening the finances of PRIs

Developing the skills of PR officials and non officials on implementing sound Accounting and Audit practices

To collaborate with national level institutions on Training, Research and consulting on Financial Management in Rural local bodies, new Audit Techniques like Information System Audit statistical sampling and performance auditing etc.

Design and establish internal controls and strengthening internal audits, for proper Funs management and Fund Tracking

Develop a frame work of social Audit for the different programmes implemented by PRIs.
